Japanese Sisal Dry Brush
Japanese Sisal Dry Brush
NEW! Dry brushing is an ancient self-care practice that originated in Ayurveda — known as garshana in the ancient Sanskrit. Supporting lymphatic flow, exfoliation, and proper circulation, this invigorating body brush is perfect for your daily dry brushing ritual. Designed in the traditional Japanese style, our handcrafted body brush is made with plant-based sisal fibers, sustainably cultivated from the agave plant.
BENEFITS:
Stimulates the lymphatic system, helping to remove toxins and waste, and boosting immunity
Removes top layer of dead skin cells
Supports proper blood circulation and flow
By stimulating the connective tissues underneath the surface level of the skin, dry brushing may also break up and minimize cellulite
Encourages cell renewal & collagen production
A natural energy boost
DIRECTIONS:
Before the first use, we’d recommend soaking the brush and letting it air dry, to soften the bristles.
Begin at the soles of the feet, as they have many nerve endings that benefit from stimulation.
Using sweeping motions up the legs, and arms, brush towards the heart.
Brush upwards from the lower back, and downwards from the neck (always towards the heart).
Brush in a clockwise direction around the belly.
Shower or bathe, then finish your ritual by applying your favorite Nāo Ayurveda Body Oil.
*Sisal is a firm and invigorating plant fiber, and as such, it is not recommended for sensitive skin.
